The pandemic put a halt to in-person gatherings, including the beloved Ramadan watch parties in Arab-American culture. After breaking their fast, families would traditionally crowd around the TV for the most anticipated Arab series, soap operas, and game shows that kick off Ramadan.
To boost Sling subscriptions, we spotlighted its new watch party feature in a series of social media videos. We positioned the watch party as the perfect way to enjoy Ramadan together while navigating lockdowns and keeping that “Arabness” alive.
Each video creatively linked a family scenario to a unique benefit of the watch party. I crafted the strategy, managed channel distribution, wrote the scripts, and was on set to produce the content. I even stepped into a lead role after the original actor dropped out at the last minute, which was an unexpected but rewarding part of the project.
